Patience: One of My Missing Virtues

I have zero patience. Honestly, I should be super patient. I've been given plenty of opportunities to learn and cultivate patience, especially with all of our fertility issues, but I just haven't grasped the concept. I'm waiting for the Sear's repair man to come take a look at our washer and dryer. Nothing is wrong with them, it is just the yearly free check up that Sear's provides. I'm grateful that they are coming, I just hate to wait. Oh well, they said they would be here between 8-12, so just under 2 hours to go.

A Saturday Afternoon

With hesitation I realize that my Saturday afternoons have changed. BYU football is back. I do have to give my husband some credit, he only follows BYU football and Jazz basketball. It could be worse. So since I am going to be married to Nate forever, I am trying to learn to like watching sports. We went to the in-law's house to watch the game with everyone and we had a blast.

first game of the season means:

a super excited husband

the cutest nephew for some entertainment
(P.S. Keith, thank you for letting me play with you when I got bored, which was often. You are so much fun. Tell your mom that I missed her. Congrats on the new teeth!)

a lot of people were on the edge of their seat

and a lot of excited fans when BYU won!!!
>

Hope everyone else enjoyed the game. How many more games are left this season?

Update

We realized today that it's been nearly 3 weeks since we last updated our blog. Not too much is new. Nate is still working full-time and is also doing really well in school. Nate's work held their annual Lagoon Day a few weeks ago. We had a great time, but for some reason I only took 2 pictures, neither is super great. The company is doing well and was kind enough to give everyone a summer bonus for which we are very grateful. Thanks TestOut! I'm not up to too much, I'm working on a new sewing project and I stay pretty busy with my church calling, housework and my job. Other than that, Nate and I have just been hanging out being awesome.

Klutz

So I almost set our apartment on fire again. Yes, that's right again. A week and a half ago I turned on the wrong burner on the stove and then today I had a lamp malfunction. Seriously, what is wrong with me? Just to be on the safe side, I don't think anyone should invite me over to their house anytime soon.

P.S. I have gotten so much laundry and so much cleaning done today. Apart from a near fire, I've been really productive.

Happy Birthday Kelley!

Just wishing a Happy Birthday to my little sister. Kelley is 19 today! My mom is almost out of teenagers. Kelley is a beautiful girl with gorgeous blonde hair and she is cuter and taller and skinnier than me, but I still love her. She wouldn't let me take a current picture of her so here is a baby picture. Happy Birthday Kell!

Welcome Home!

Welcome home Sarah! Nate and I attended Sarah and her brother Bryce's homecoming yesterday. They both did a wonderful job and gave great talks. Sarah looked beautiful and I am so glad to have her home. We have a lot of catching up to do. Of course I forgot to take pictures, but I will next time I see her. We love you Sarah!

I Like This

I have never been the biggest fan of Audrey Hepburn, I've never seen Breakfast at Tiffany's or known much about the actress. I ran across this quote the other day and I liked it quite a bit. It is lighthearted yet still gives the feeling of imparted wisdom.

Amazing times with Kim !!

So Kim and I went and saw Up this weekend. It is a surprisingly sad movie rather than funny, which I was expecting.

It was still way fun to go to the movie with Kim though. We also watched Harry Potter 4 & 5 so that we could get ready for number 6 which we will be seeing on Saturday.

I hope that she is as excited as I am to go see it. On another note I wanted to say a few words about Kim. She is the best thing to have ever happened in my life. Who could have thought that a blind date would have been the greatest blessing to have ever happened a little under 2 1/2 years ago. She is always thinking of me when she is at home. She makes the best cookies and food. She always tries new things and bakes treats, when she doesn't even like half of them. Talk about amazing! I just wanted her to know how much I appreciate every thing that she does. Starting with the laundry all the way to just supporting me with school and things of that nature. Kim thanks for being the best thing. Thanks for your smile, your jokes, your personality, and everything else about you. If ever there was something to be thankful for, it is you. I love you forever and ever!!

Fourth of July Fun

Hopefully everyone had a fun 4th of July. Nate and I went up to American Fork to hang out with some cousins and Nate's oldest brother and his family. We made some hamburgers and hot dogs, played some games, and watched some fireworks. Thank goodness for Amanda, she was prepared with bug spray and I think I only got one mosquito bite! Neither Nate nor I can remember what we did the last two years for the 4th of July, we seriously have no clue. Maybe I worked. Anyway, we were excited to have time to do something fun this year. Nate had a three day weekend and I was off too, so we enjoyed the time to relax. Here are a few pictures from Saturday.
