Getting Some ZZZZZs
What's Nate up to right now? He's getting some much deserved rest (sorry Nate, I couldn't help but take a picture, you look so cute and relaxed). Between work and school and helping out his family, Nate has been incredibly busy. I am so glad that he has tomorrow off of work. We have plans for a day of fun! I may even indulge him and go see the Terminator Salvation movie tomorrow. Nate, I hope you know I love you and that I appreciate all your hard work.

Busy Busy Busy
I feel like Nate and I have been so busy lately. Between work, school, new church callings and family events there has been very little down time for the two of us. Oh well, it sure makes the time go by quickly. Here is a little glimpse as to what we've been up to lately.
I've been trying to become a better baker. Thank goodness that Nate is willing to be my taste tester. I'm not super creative when it comes to thinking up new ideas, but I do like to try and recreate things that others have done.

Above are some Oreo Truffles
Above are some chocolate dipped marshmallows (these were actually my own idea)

Above is a "Family Treet." I made this for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. The trunk is made from brownie, and the leaves are cupcakes. I got this idea from the Wilton website. It called for fondant for the trunk, but I am so not an expert baker, so I improvised with brownies. Honestly, I am pretty impressed with myself that I was able to recreate the idea. Hopefully I get better with practice (especially with my piping, please don't notice the poor job on the lettering). Thanks again to Nate's family for being test subjects.
Our sweet little nephew Keith Benjamin Smith was blessed Sunday, May 3 and this is the blessing invitation and birth announcement that I made for him:

Congratulations Benji and Amanda!

I Miss Nate
I miss Nate. I'm at work, and will be for about two more hours. Hopefully Nate is sleeping peacefully and having wonderful dreams. Once I get home from work I get to see him for about 40 minutes and then he leaves to go to work. I can't wait until the day comes when we are not on opposite schedules two to three days of every week. Since I went part-time it has gotten a little better. But I still miss my husband! I really like him a lot and we always have fun together and I still want to be with him all the time. I know we've been married for a while, but I still love being with him 24/7 and don't ever see that changing. Anyway, when you read this Nate, know that I love you and I am thinking about you and I can't wait to see you. XOXO

Easter 2009 Re-Cap
We hope everyone had a fabulous Easter weekend. Nate and I had fun. We went up to my maternal grandparents' house in Burley, Idaho. My brother, sister, and mom came, and a few cousins joined us as well. We enjoyed good times, good food, and good company. Here a few highlights from our trip...

Happy belated Easter!

My Bad
So, I just learned that my super cute new font only shows up on my home computer. It makes sense though, it is a font that I downloaded. It is the same font that is on my header (the part that says Nate loves Kim). Anyway, it looks cute on my laptop. If you happen to be in the market for cute fonts I recommend going to kevinandamada.com and downloading all their fonts. I really like them. The one I used is called Pea Missy. Sorry, to get everyone excited for nothing.

Check It Out Now (Funk Soul Brother)
So, I thought that the actual lyrics to that song were funk's your brother. I know, I am totally inept when it comes to lyrics. Maybe I should get my hearing checked. Random tangent now over. Check out my (I mean our :)) blog! I figured out how to change the font! I still need to figure out how to change the font on those previous posts, but I'll take what I can get. I like it, it makes it more personal. Nate's gone to the priesthood session and I am just trying to keep myself entertained.

I feel a little miserable today, I hate having a cold. Is there really such a thing as a soft tissue? So far I am not to impressed with the lotion tissues and my nose can't take much more. And I've already had one cold this year, I took my turn, and I thought it was supposed to be Spring! Sorry, just grumpy today, I miss being able to breathe.

I Love Photoshop
Okay, seriously, I love Photoshop Elements. I love it. Such a great Christmas present, thanks Nate. By the way if you are wanting Photoshop Elements (and you know that I recommend it), I know that Costco has a $30 off coupon for it right now. I am still working on our wedding album, it is totally making me miss my long hair though, and here are a few more of the pages that I've made:

I Married a Winner!
So apparently each year Nate's company has a bowling party, they take part of the day and go see who is the best bowler. They also gave out miscellaneous awards. At one point they announced that the next two people to get a strike got a free day off. Well, my handsome husband got one of the next strikes! Now we get the opportunity to have a three day weekend together sometime. Way to go Nate. I always love hanging out with you.
